Overview
If you’re moving your podcast to a new host, you’ll need to update your RSS feed URL on listening platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Because PodcastAI stores RSS feeds as objects, automatic 301 redirects are not supported — so you must update the RSS link manually.
Before You Start — Migration Checklist
Before updating your RSS feed on Apple or Spotify, make sure the following is complete:
✅ All episodes have been exported or uploaded to your new hosting platform.
✅ Your new host has provided a working RSS feed URL.
✅ You’ve verified that all episode metadata (titles, descriptions, artwork) appears correctly in the new feed.
✅ You’ve confirmed your show name and artwork match your current listing.
Once you’ve confirmed everything is set up on the new host, you can safely update your feed on each platform.
Step 1 — Update Your RSS Feed in Apple Podcasts
Go to Apple Podcasts Connect.
Sign in using the Apple ID associated with your podcast.
Select your show.
Open the Show Information section.
Under RSS Feed URL, enter your new host’s RSS feed URL.
Click Save to confirm your changes.
Step 2 — Update Your RSS Feed in Spotify
Go to Spotify for Podcasters.
Log in using the account linked to your show.
Select your podcast.
Open Settings → Podcast Availability → RSS Feed.
Replace your old RSS feed with the new feed URL from your new host.
Confirm your changes.
What Happens Next
Once both platforms are updated:
Your show will automatically pull new episodes from the new host’s RSS feed.
Existing subscribers will continue receiving updates without needing to re-subscribe.
