If you’ve updated your RSS feed in Apple Podcasts or Spotify but your show isn’t updating yet, don’t worry — it’s usually something simple. Follow these steps to check and fix it.
1. Check that your new RSS feed works
Copy your new RSS feed URL.
Paste it into your browser — you should see plain text or XML.
If the page doesn’t load or shows an error, contact your new hosting provider.
You can also test your feed using PodcastAI Feed Validator.
2. Make sure Apple Podcasts has refreshed
Log in to Apple Podcasts Connect.
Select your show and open Show Information.
Check that your RSS Feed URL matches the new one.
Apple may take up to 24 hours to refresh.
If it still doesn’t update, click Refresh Feed.
3. Verify your feed in Spotify
Go to Spotify for Podcasters.
Select your show and open Settings → Podcast Availability → RSS Feed.
Confirm the feed matches your new host.
Spotify updates automatically within a few hours.
If you see an “invalid feed” message, make sure your RSS is public and contains at least one episode.
4. Confirm your new host has episodes
Your feed must include at least one published episode.
If your new host feed is empty, Apple and Spotify won’t display your show.
5. Still not updating?
If everything looks correct but your show isn’t refreshing:
Wait up to 48 hours (some platforms cache feeds).
Double-check that your feed is live and publicly accessible.
Contact Apple or Spotify support and include:
Your old RSS feed URL
Your new RSS feed URL
A short description of what’s happening (e.g., missing episodes or errors)
